Lugo (Ravenna), December 13, 2022 – UNITEC, a leading group specialized in designing innovative and patented solutions for fresh fruit and vegetable sorting and processing, has acquired a stake in Packtin s.r.l., a science-based company based in Reggio Emilia. Packtin is specialized in the full valorization of agri-food by-products through innovative stabilization and extraction processes and in the production of 100% plant-based flours of the highest nutritional quality, consistent with the principles of sustainability, respect for nature, and circular economy.

Angelo Benedetti, president and general manager of UNITEC Group, is now a member of Packtin’s board. UNITEC Group’s acquisition of a stake in the Reggio Emilia-based company will boost Packtin’s industrial development and the marketing of its products, already appreciated in Emilia-Romagna and the rest of Italy.
